Hephzibah House Women's Ministry

The Hephzibah Ministry was founded in 1893 by women as a training school for women who desired to be involved in Christian ministry both in New York York City and the world at large.  Many of these women became missionaries around the world.

Women's Prayer Web

In 2007, Lois Ewald established a Worldwide Women's Prayer Web for women who want to know and pray about world issues and leaders.   If you are interested in joining women around the world in prayer, please visit: http://www.womensprayerweb.com

How to have peace:

In everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.  And the PEACE OF GOD which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus……Phil. 4:6

The Lord WILL GIVE STRENGTH  to His people…the Lord WILL GIVE PEACE to His people…..Ps. 29:11

How to have hope:

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, WE MIGHT HAVE HOPE…..Rom. 15:4

We live between two awesome historical events in the history of our world.

1.  The coming of Christ in Grace

2.  The coming of Christ In Glory

Between these two major events, GOD IS ACTIVE IN THE HUMAN RACE HE CREATED AND LOVES.  God loves us even though and when we reject His love and turn from His loving and merciful pursuit.

Titus 2:11-13  FOR THE GRACE OF GOD THAT BRINGS SALVATION HAS APPEARED TO ALL MEN, TEACHING US THAT, DENYING UNGODLINESS AND WORLDLY LUSTS, WE SHOULD LIVE SOBERLY, RIGHTEOUSLY, AND GODLY IN THIS PRESENT WORLD; LOOKING FOR THAT BLESSED HOPE AND THE GLORIOUS APPEARANCE OF THE GREAT GOD AND OUR SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST.

Soberly…thoughtfully, inwardly meditating, seriously, (Personal)

Rightously (Upright)…before others in our  world of people(Public)

odly…fellowship and walking with God…(spiritually in communion)

In the Gospel of John we find Jesus giving major information about the coming of the Holy Spirit and the effect on every person who comes to Him in the time between Grace and Glory.(Holy Spirit, teacher/trainer)

In

John 14:19….you will live

John 14:20….you shall know

John 14:23….you will keep

John 15:27….you will bear witness

John 16:26….you will ask

Ladies Teas

SPRING TEA….APRIL 6,  2013:   (PHONE RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST…212-787-6150)

Some important added things this year for  our spring tea… call us if you have questions.

The Hephzibah House Doors will open at 11:30 for a HOUSE TOUR.  The only rooms inaccessible will be those occupied by guests here for the tea…this has been a request for some time…so this is the day!

When you climb  to the FOURTH FLOOR---ROOM 44, YOU WILL SEE A COLLECTION OF TEA POTS. Lois Ewald is selling her collection AND THE TOTAL PROCEEDS WILL BE GIVEN TO HEPHZIBAH HOUSE TO HELP FUND AIR CONDITIONING.  Some of these teapots are very old, some  clever, some just cute, some lovely, some practical…you might even want to do some early Christmas shopping.

Refreshments will be served starting at 1:00 PM…a variety of international desserts besides our wonderful Hephzibah House Tea.  In fact if you  would like to bring something to share at our tea that day, mark it with the dessert name and country…most welcome!

Our music will be none other than Esther Hinds, a Metropolitan Opera Soprano who has sung around the world…but who also sings for the glory of her Lord Jesus Christ.  She will be accompanied by Karen Occhiogrosso, a most talented and gifted pianist.

You will be encouraged by our speaker, Pamela Gardner, who, with her husband serves Ambassadors For Christ Int.  I asked her to bring some copies of her wonderful book, Distressed But Not Destroyed, which will be available for purchase.  Some years ago she wrote an excellent teaching brochure:  10 STEPS TO HANDLING ADVERSITY.  She will be speaking from this topic and you will have a copy.

You will not want to miss this special day…this special Tea.  We do not charge, but donations are helpful in meeting our expenses.   Thank you.
