New Year's Eve Evangelism Outreach
Since the year 2000, the Hephzibah House Staff has shared the good news of Jesus with those who are gathering in Times Square for the New Year's Eve Countdown. Each year we distribute the Scriptures, one for each year represented by the New Year, 2014 copies. Very few copies are ignored or turned down, and some people ask for one for a friend. Volunteers gather at Hephzibah House to eat supper at 6:00PM and pray together before walking toward Time Square. The booklets are distributed quickly and then there is time to travel to Watch-Night services at your church. Dress warmly.

For many years Hephzibah House has held two very special teas. One is a Spring Tea and the other a Christmas Tea.

KING’S DAUGHTERS FELLOWSHIP
For the past few years this group of women have met together for various hand crafts, taught by capable women…for cooking and baking specialties…book reports, tours, devotionals, Bible Studies, sharing and praying. This is open to all women…meeting the first Saturday of each month, starting Oct. 6, at 11:15…eating lunch and spending about three hours in fellowship with each other. Monthly Prayer Gatherings
The second Sunday afternoon of every month from 2:00pm-4:00 pm.
We pray specifically for churches,
organizations and
other ministries in New York City. Our prayers will be for New
York City and for God's world. At the close of our sessions,
we allow time to pray for personal requests . This Prayer Gathering
is open to everyone.

Doors will open at 11:30 for a HOUSE TOUR.
The only rooms inaccessible will be those occupied by
guests here for the tea…this has been a request for some time…so
this is the day!
When you climb
to the FOURTH
FLOOR---ROOM 44, YOU WILL SEE A COLLECTION OF TEA POTS. Lois
Ewald is selling her collection AND THE TOTAL PROCEEDS WILL BE
GIVEN TO HEPHZIBAH HOUSE TO HELP FUND AIR CONDITIONING.
Some of these teapots are very old, some
clever, some just cute,
some lovely, some practical…you might even want to do some early
Christmas shopping.
Refreshments will be served starting at 1:00 PM…a
variety of international desserts besides our wonderful
Hephzibah House Tea.
In fact if you would like
to bring something to share at our tea that day, mark it with
the dessert name and country…most welcome!
Our
music will be none other than Esther Hinds, a Metropolitan Opera
Soprano who has sung around the world…but who also sings for the
glory of her Lord Jesus Christ.
She will be accompanied by Karen Occhiogrosso, a most
talented and gifted pianist.
You will be encouraged by our speaker, Pamela Gardner, who, with
her husband serves Ambassadors For Christ Int.
I asked her to bring some copies of her wonderful book,
Distressed But Not Destroyed, which will be available for
purchase. Some years
ago she wrote an excellent teaching brochure:
10 STEPS TO HANDLING ADVERSITY.
She will be speaking from this topic and you will have a
copy.
You will not want to miss this special day…this special Tea. We do not charge, but donations are helpful in meeting our expenses. Thank you.
